~*Legend of the three gods*~
When Akunamon, Yami's father, sacrificed the souls of 99 people from the village of Kurelna (Village of Thieves) an enormous
amount of backup engergy was produced. The Millennium Magic Book has written in it that you would need to sacrifice 1 more
soul, the 100th, pure and innocent to the Magical Fire. However, the priest who performed the ritual, Priest Akunadin, brother
of Akunamon, could not interpret the hieroglyphs an did not mention about the final soul. 3 days passed after the Initiation
of the Millennium Items, and all seemed well. Except for that on the first day, thunder poured down from the sky. And on
the second, night was day and day was night. And on the 3rd day when the world mysteriously turned upside down, the Pharaoh
thought that these were just the after effects of the initiation, but he was wrong. On the 4th day, 3 unstoppable beasts
emerged from nowhere. The God of the Sky and Earth...The God of Light and Darkness...and the God of Eternal Good and Evil...
The 3 God Monsters...
When game designer, Maximillion J. Pegasus went to Egypt, he found stone tablets of ancient dark duels. He based
a collectible card game on these stone tablet recordings and called it "Duel Monsters." However, he also created
3 unimaginable cards based on one tablet which the Duel of Destiny was depicted. the giant tablet, the Lithograph, was created
by the priest to show his friendship to his cousin, the Pharaoh, after he had mysteriously disappeared. However, above the
battle, the engraving of the Millennium Puzzle was surrounded by 3 card engravings...
Each of these 3 mythological beasts represent the polarity of the universe. Obelisk represents light and darkness.
Slifer represents good and evil. Ra represents earth and sky. Whoever obtains these 3 rare cards will become forever undefeatable.
The person will dominate the world of dueling, and will also gain the title of "King of Duelists."
However, Pegasus regretted ever making these 3 rare cards, because the cards, as if with the power of the actual
diety living inside them , all had super stong powers. Every single person involved in making these 3 Egyptian God Cards
met with an untimely end except for Pegasus. Whoever obtains these cards can use them for good or for evil. If an evil heart
uses these cards, it could even be used to take away someone's life. In games, they could become the ultimate weapon. Pegasus
originally wanted to take care of the cards himself, but he failed. Therefore, he decided to let these cards sleep forever
at where they came from, deep underground at the "Valley of Kings." However, someone stole them out...Rare Hunters.
These Rare Hunters are a notorious international rare card thieving organization.
~*Legend of Atlantis*~
Almost 10,000 years ago, the mythical city of Atlantis, as well as the rest of the world, was a thriving paradise. There,
everything was peaceful. Humans lived along side Duel Monsters. Then out of the deep depths of outer space, the Stone of
Oreichalkos crashed into earth. When humans and Duel Monsters alike touched the stone, the stone showed them their true side.
Half of the creatures became evil, the other half became good. The leader of the evil side was an Atlantian named Darteaz.
He ruled along the side of The Great Leviathan. His forces of Oreichalkos Soldiers greatly outnumbered the side of good,
even though the Oreichalkos Soldiers were no match for them. The only problem was The Great Leviathan. He was far too powerful
to be defeated. The side of Good decided to call on some help. They called upon the 3 Legendary Dragons; Critias, Helmos,
and Tamaeus. Each Dragon alone was a very powerful force, with their own power. Howerver, no matter how powerful they became,
they were still no match for The Great Leviathan. The only way to defeat the side of Evil was to pool together their powers
and unite as one. That was the only way to defeat Darteaz, the side of Evil, and The Great Leviathan.Victory, however, doesn't
come without a price. Before the Great Leviathan was defeated, Darteaz summoned 3 Sword of Kings, and threw the swords at
the three Dragons. Each of the swords pierced a Dragon in a different body part. Tamaeus was pierced in the eye, Critias
in the fang, and Helmos in the claw. Because of the Sword of Kings, each of the Dragons were inprisoned in ice. They remained
that way until the sword was pulled out and they were freed. Legend has it that 3 brave warriors will pull the swords, freeing
the dragons when they are needed again.
Now, 10,000 years later, the DOOM organization wants to revive The Great Leviathan. In order to do so, the souls of many
humans and Duel Monsters must be offered to The Great Leviathan. The main soul that must be captured is Pharaoh's. They
accomplish this soul-snatching task by challenging duelists to duels, then playing the Seal of Oreichalkos. When the duel
is over, the loser will lose his or her soul
